This restriction was made in accordance with UN Security Council Resolution 2321 adopted on November 30, 2016. The UN Security Council Committee established pursuant to Resolution 1718 will publish on a monthly basis the amount of coal exported by North Korea to all UN member states on its website; it will notify Member States when 95% of the total or total amount is reached.
